Having spent alot of time with both setups my boat would have power poles hands down.I just never saw the holding power from the talons and just really dont think they can hold up to the power poles. With that being said if you dont have the room for the pumps then the talons will do everything you need I just like the deployment of the power poles better.

Both are great products and both have their advantages. The thing that sold me was the Youtube video of the Powerpole on back of the airboat. Check it out. Pretty impressive for sure.

Like Ken A said, both will do what they are intended to do. Like me the youtube video was a great sale, even tried something simliar with my duals (they are tough as nails.) I went with PP cause I wanna lower into my garage then raise, not take off. Plus I go under alot of tight spots (same deal). And they just look cooler, plus me and electric stuff dont see eye to eye. I saw too many advantages in PP over Talon, but to each their own.

I would get the talon for my current boat based on storage room. I would buy a powerpole based on the videos I have seen of them if this were not an issue.
 Boatless for minute

Talons look kindof goofy to me with all the bulk up top. PP look easier to service as well.

Have never fished with pp but have talons. It would be hard for me to believe that a pp could hold any better than the talon. Fished a media tourney on Hubbard Creek this spring and had north winds gusting 40+ and they held points and humps. I was very impressed. However you need two...and a tall garage.
