I have a 6'9" Loomis and Diawa Tierra for sale. Hardly ever use it.

I really like the Dobyns Champion 702SF with a Stradic 3000 or 4000 on it

I do alot of drop shotting, both around deep open water ledges and thick brustops. I used to use baitcasting gear almost exclusively, but have figured out that coffee grinders and upside downers, do have their advantages. This is a great combo that's my go to DS set up now.

Get this,

Volt 2000

Super reel for the money. 11 bearings, great drag, and smooth as silk.

Put it on this,

Cara Drop Shot

Nice tip action, extremely sensitive, but has a strong butt section for getting em away from cover.

Your in business for less then 3 bills.

Off topic a bit, but these are bad ace.

Spin Shot

Eliminates ALL the line twist and wind knots in Flouro on both spinning and bait casting set ups. And unicorns em in the roof of the mouth almost every time.

I was given a few to try out and I'll be ordering as soon as they are available.

duckett fishing 7'0" med light spinning rod and lews spinning reel this rod is perfect for drop shot it has alot of tip shaking and casting light drop shots up to 1/4 oz if you think you will be using heavier weight than 1/4 oz i would say 7 ft med duckett lews reels are great reel for the money they have great drags and wide spools that keep fluro line from twisting

I love the 7' crucial set up I have used for several years. To me the rod is the key. Just need medium action with some backbone. Actually cut 5" off the end to give me a little more stiffness. Have caught multiple fish over 5 (one at a time) on 6pound flouro. no A rig with this set up
Also have a Cabelas brand split handle 7' rod that is OK, but not as good as the shimano
