I've heard it has good numbers but i've never fished it myself. When i drove by i thought it looked perfect for a float set up and just walk around the whole lake.

If fished it several times and never felt in danger.
I caught 4 carp 6 - 8 pounds in 6 hours with no prebaiting, but I did bait to a marker. It took a couple of hours for it to get going. I also lost 3 others...
In the early morning (the park has dawn to dusk hours) there were carp near in, but very skittish.

The water level stays fairly level due to the Bayou feeding it. The bayou is filled with tilapia, armored catfish, and grass carp.

This is definitely a possibility for a fish in; just can't expect much size. I've heard there are some teens, though.

Bingo. They reproduce like crazy, and burrow into the banks to lay their eggs.
