Does anyone know someone who would recarpet a boat cheap? Near Lewisville. If not does anyone know where you could by cheap outdoor carpet remnants and do you have any advice on how to do a recarpet job on a 1993 1648B Grumman Aluminum Bass Boat.

Thanks

Scott

I got my carpet and materials at Lowe's 8 years ago for about a $100. I didn't choose the top quality carpet either, I was on budget. My dad helpled me put it in. Next time I will use a grade or two better carpet. I need to do it again.

Go to Lowes. They have got a couple of grades of Marine carpet. Added deck to my boat, carpet is as good or better than original. I noticed that they can also order different colors. $120 for whole boat?

It ran good yesterday out on the lake. I haven't done anything about the carpet yet.

You can also try Duck Jerky. He does that on the side also and does a good job.

I replaced it this week and it looks awesome. It cost a little over $200 for materials and took about 25 hours with me and my buddy working on it. Tough job! Whatever those guys are charging is probably not enough. Wow, i wish i would have had the money to pay someone to do it...but it looks great and now i have it done.

I used 6ft by 32 ft of carpet to redo the boat and the boat is only 15 1/2 ft long by 6 ft wide. I didn't have that much left over...maybe enough to do mu bunk boards.
