I fish a small ~50acre lake in my area and I have been having trouble targeting the LMB in the last month. The lake is crystal clear down to ~10 feet (no joke, like bottled water)with lots of vegetation (green coontail/hornwort)near the bank. Usually, we have the best luck near the bank where the coontail drops with spinnerbaits/swimming jigs/soft plastic(weightless) but not lately. Anyone have any ideas on what to throw and how deep? Any ideas would be appreciated. Thanks TFF.

toss a dropshot to the outer deeper edge of the grass. you may have to play with the leader length to keep the bait just about the top of the grass on bottom but somewhere between 6 to 24 inches should work.

Deadstick that weightless senko. Lots of patience works, but so does the method.

You don't say so I gather you are in a boat. I would fish the grass edge with white colors, lipless, ripping through grasses. Spinner baits in shad colors. Not knowing where you are makes it tough but with that size of lake I'd have on a soft plastic around grassy edges also. Not a whole lot of info to help you much more sir. Good luck though.
