Just wondering if any of you guys have done it before. I an only a regular BASS member and was wanting to sign up for an even this year, was wondering the odds of getting picked or drawn.

Also how is the experience?

I haven't done it under the current format, but when the Bassmaster Memorial was held in Fort Worth a few years ago, I was a Marshall. It was a good experience. I think some of it has to do with who you are paired with. You can learn quite a bit. The pros I was with were very accommodating. I am thinking about doing it again for the upcoming Elite Series.

I was a Marshall at Lake Amistad a few years ago. Best $100 I ever spent. Had lunch with the Lane brothers at Anglers Lodge. Then drew Terry Butcher, Gerald Swindle and Fred Roumbanis. I learned a lot about a lake I thought I knew. Had a few drinks each night with the gang also. Great experience!

If they are pounding the fish it is the longest 2-3 days of your life! I was on Kentucky Lake marshalling one time and it was tough when they were catching 200-400 fish/day. It was definitely an awesome experience though. It was really alot of fun.

I have marshalled two times and both have been great experiences. I only got stuck with one guy that was not that socialble and I think its cause he wasnt doing as good as he thought he would. Mark Davis is one of the best fisherman and nicest guys I have ever spent a day on the water with. He answered all my questions and helped me all he could, I cant say enough nice things about him! I hope to fish with/against him one day down the road.

400 fish a day?? Was he throwing a Alabama rig tipped with another Alabama rig and then catching 9 fish every cast?
