We were suppose to go play on Cedar Creek today, but winds and rain made us stay in town. Caught well over 100 crappie of all sizes and every color jig we sent down would land a fish. Rudy showed up and I trolled to the bank and welcomed him aboard. Caught fish every drop almost till 2 pm and they shut down on us... Loud with South West Airliners going over the top of our heads..... Ill post a pic up when my photo bucket unfreezes......

Good job Carey. Those fish never had a chance with you and Rudy on them. thumb

We had a great time, Michael and Carey know their stuff, and thank goodness the fish were cooperative! Michael took home some gooduns for sure! Carey is a most gracious boat captain!

Much obliged, T-fly!

Rudy

Nice job fellas! Sounds like Bachman is a nice little urban fishery! I work right next door to the Embassy Suites (East of the Lemmon bridge), and me and Stucky were thinking about checking the creek out behind there after work one evening. I've walked down there on lunch, and it looks promising.

Rudy, is Club Schmitz over off Harry Hines?

yes it is! The creek has a dandy crappie hole that really cranks up between 5 pm and about 9 pm. Water is close to 20 ft deep, has submerged trees and debris and as it starts to get dark the crappie come out of the cover to play and are easy pickings for a jig/bobber combo!

I've passed by that spot a million times. Looks like a good little hole-in-the-wall. Tell you what, I will gladly buy you a burger basket with all the fixins if you will meet Stucky and I out there one day after work, and share a little knowledge!

Good deal Rudy. I know little Jimmy is afraid of the dark, but I have no problem fishing the graveyard shift. We'll have to tie a glow-stick around his neck so he doesn't get lost (safety first), but it'll be fun!
