I would suggest that anyone looking for quality custom boat cover made by people whom stand behind their work, use this place to have a boat cover made: http://www.lonestarcust.com/ [This message has been edited by tomp (edited 04-24-2003).] [This message has been edited by tomp (edited 04-24-2003).]

Tomp, Why don't you post some details of your experience, or email them to me, and I will see what kind of answers I can get from these people. I am sure they would like to know about their business and products, being "Hit" by over 1000 people per day on this web page. Get me some details, and we'll see what we can do!! ------------------ Daniel Cooper Texas Fishing Forum Tournament Director tournaments@texasfishingforum.com

May I recommend to everyone Aurora Canvas out of Springfield, MO. Whether you are in the DFW area or not, this gang makes a good product and stands behind it.

David J Aurora Canvas is located in Springfield, MO. Their website is http://www.auroracanvas.com/ . It usually takes them 4-6 weeks to get your cover specially made. They have templates of most boat manufactures and model numbers. You will need the following information... Manufacture, Year and Model # of your boat. If it is Single or Dual console. Manufacture and year of your outboard motor. Model number of trolling motor and which side of the bow it sits on (Right or Left). Also, if you have other equipment on your boat that will hinder the cover, let them know...i.e. Step ladder, Graphs/Locators that will protrude from normal covering. Basically, if it's going to touch the cover, they will reinforce it at that location. I was amazed at the weight of this cover. It is heavy duty. It fits like a glove and doesn't move around very much when trailering. Even at 65-70 MPH. My cover was around $650.00 for a Cobra 20' dual console with no special modifications for locators/graphs. Just the trolling motor reinforcements. Here's a link to some pictures of their work. http://www.auroracanvas.com/split3.html And mine fits just like the ones shown...perfect!!

You make me very nervous since I just dropped my boat with them yesterday. They are recovering some seats for me. Can you please provide some details as others have asked. Since its too late for me to change, I'll try to let everyone know how my experience with them turns out.

Guys here awile back we had a dicussion on boat covers.... I posted the name and number of a guy in the Metroplex.... His name is David Nolan and he owns Nolan's Tops. David has a box van and will come to where ever your boat is and take measurments and make your cover on the spot....He puts a great guarantee on the covers aswell.... He matches the cover to the color of your boat or whatever color you want.... Last I heard he charged $22 a foot....
His number 972-240-1771,,,, tell him you heard about it from the Irving bass club....

Well, it turns out the owner of Lone Star Upolstery was not getting my messages. Luckily, I gave it one more shot and found out that he never received my emails. He indicated that he would take care of the issue and the problematic person no longer works for him.
I have to admit that I got my boat back today and it's the very best looking and fitting boat cover I have ever seen! I am very satisfied and would recommend Lone Star Custom Upolstery to anyone looking for a high quality boat cover made by people whom stand behind their work!
