Ok. I might have a dilemma. Down at falcon I pulled this fat girl up, and thought for sure DD, maybe new PB (current PB is 10-11). I put her on the rapala digital scale and it was acting kinda funky, but kinda settled out at 9-8. I thought that was low, but released her to get back to fishing. No measurements, because I only get replicas of DD's. Then I pull up the second fish, put it on the scale, it read 2 pounds, then went dead. I changed the battery and it read 8-8, which I thought was a legit weight. The second fish was noticably smaller than the first one, and the first one was dang sure more than one pound bigger. So what do you guys think? Bigger than 9-8? If not, I'm cool with it, she was a hell of a big old fat fish, but it's been bugging me.

Most all of the Falcon fish I have caught and weighed weigh less than I think. They are normally longer and not as thick as fish at say Fork or even Ivie with more Florida bass influence.

Hard to say on pics but if I was guessing I would say your scale was probably pretty close. I would have said 9-10.

The pictures shown make it definitely appear to be close to 10 if not over...hard to guess weights with pictures. Never the less...nice fish man.

Your scale is probably accurate, Rapala scales are top notch accuracy. You got cut off on the 2nd fish at 2-lbs because of the low battery. Like I said test it out at home right now and you will know the truth.

I caught two in a tourney down there I would have swore both were 11-12 lbs. I didn't weigh them at the time but at weigh in they were 10-9 and 10-2.

I think its right around what your scale said. Take a 10lb dumbell and weigh it on your scale to see.

Those Rapala scales are pretty good. I would say those weights are accurate.

Both of those fish look close to the same weight. Both of them look like Falcon pigs. Both of them are larger than my PB. Basically what I'm getting at is those are some nice hogs!
