Since I just bought my new Motor Guide hand-operated, I was curious if anyone has made (or knows where to buy) an angled extension for speed control. I have a big foot on it so I can steer with my foot but I know Minn Kota sells a tiller handle extension. I haven't been able to find one for this one.

I looked at this handle but I'm not sure that it locks into an "angled" position. If I'm standing on the deck it would fall back to the floor. I was hoping to find something that would extend the throttle at a fixed upward angle.

After re-reading your original post, it appears what you really need is just a speed control as you state you can steer with your foot. Possibly a switch that is capable of constant on/off and monentary will work for you. Those are readily availible. Or canibalise a old foot control to get the roll switch and mount it on the big foot. If you'er fixed on a angled handle with speed control I believe you'd have to make one.

Go to bass pro shops website and lookup bigfoot, you should see a footswitch for around 15 that hooks only to the negative. I installed one yesterday since my new boat didnt have one.
