I have a Motorguide Tour 82 trolling motor. Last night at the Tuesday Night Bonanza I noticed that it has decided to start turning on by itself. I haven't ever noticed this before last night.

My dad gave me a littlr rubber piece that slides over the switch saying that it may have just worn that rubber part out. Well, it looks as though it may have worn that off, but replacing it did not help. The TM still turns on at will.

I can't get ahold of the guy locally that works on these things, and it's out of warranty now anyway. Anybody in here that might know what is going on????

Thanks

Charlie, if you want to get with me, I can check the switch and a few other things and see what might be causing your problem.

I may do that, Reg. I had the board replaced after it burned up, but I cannot remember how long ago that was... Could be a warranty issue now that I think about it, but I am doubting that.

I'll hollar after I find out for certain. Thanks.
