Brunswick now owns Triton. Mercury and Triton are still separate companies both owned by the same parent corporation. Brunswick also bought all of Genmar's metal boats last year. The addition of Triton makes 21 boat lines that they own. Their website shows 7 different marine engine brands. Of those, we know at least 4 are built by Mercury Marine. Triton may still have contracts with Bombsrdier and/or Yamaha that it has to fulfill. According to Triton\'s Press Release , they still plan on offering all the outboard choices they have n the past.
