Is there any place to get on the lake right now?

Curious to know this as well. I heard that the Villages has done a good job and is opened but don't know for sure. Anyone been there? Also, heard that the resort was going to do some more work but don't know about that either.

I am putting in at dam on single ramp..it is tricky..turn trailer toward driver side (of truck) at angle as you come into water to make the trailer even when loading and unloading..sandbar just to the starboard side as you back out, and an unavoidable shallow just as you come off trailer..it is just sand, and no problem at all...42 bass into my boat on Saturday afternoon...

I did hit a stump in open water close to 155 big bridge. No damage, but they are getting up in places I have never seen them...

Launched today at Lake Palestine Marina. 5th time in last 2 weeks. It looks ugly because it is....but you can get in and out. Use ramp closest to Marina and crowd trailer towards dock. I have single axle trailer under my Champion 181 w/150Merc. Trim motor almost all the way out of water to get to chanel..

Villages is probably the best and idle out of the channel some. If you dont know the lake, do not run it. I know it and I am not fishing it because it is an accident waiting to happen! There are huge stumps popping up where I thought was clear. Long sandbars, you name it it is there and very dangerous. Just be very careful on that lake, its an insurance claim waiting to happen.

oh its probably as low as it has ever been. North end-forget it. I am not even sure you can idle thru flat that place is ridiculuos with stumps. Ledbetter and highsaw is ok, but lots of dry sandbars and humps. Docks- probably all dry except south end. The lake is in bad shape. I love it and really dont want to try and navigate it right now. I am guessing 7-8 feet low. You can drive trucks thru kickapoo. And the south end is not clear to run necessarily.

Launched at Villages yesterday. Its fine and they dredged the channel last week.

Also, launched from Hillcreek Saturday and it looks like their latest extension isn't going to last much longer either. Can't believe how low that lake is.

There is a stump about 1 ft out of the water on the villages side of 155 bridge. If you know where the under water bridge is on the north end of the old road bed you will see it as soon as you go under the big bridge on the villages side.
