I am looking for 2 good reels for catfishing. I already purchased 2 ugly sticks rods to go with them. The rods are made for a baitcaster reel. Any suggestions!

I use Garcia ambassedeur 6000's for cat fishing. They`re about $60.00 at Wal-Mart. Thes reels are bigger hence the price. You can porbably get the 5000 or the 5500 a little cheaper and should do just fine. If you can get to BPS I`ve heard a lot of good things about those catmaxx reels they run about $40.00 definitely worth looking into.

Redneck sells the Penn Roddy reels that are really inexpensive baitcasting reels, good for catfishing.

The catmaxx reels are 49 dollars at Bass Pro Shop. Spend 59 dollars and get an ambassadeur 6000 from walmart. Trust me I own both. The catmaxx reels are smooth but I havent had them long and have had to get them both replaced. Your grandkids can use your abu s years from now and they will still be able to get parts to fix them. I am still using ambassadeurs that I bought new in the early eighties.

Just a note :

I have Abu Garcia 6000's for $50 on a regular basis. I also sell the 5500C3's for $45. I charge $5 to ship and I cover the insurance.

CC, Paypal, checks(clear prior to shipment)

Sorry for the long delay guys. Been to Laredo and to McAllen for shows the last two weekends.

My website is www.ravenreels.com , but it isn't set up for orders.

It does have my contact info and I am trying to get some more work done to the web site to expand it and make it easier to put up some of the great deals I get.
