Now that tournament season is over for most of us, what is the single worst tournament experience you have ever had? I dont want this to turn into a "boater vs co-angler bash, but if you have had a douche boater or co-angler it's okay to vent about it.

I just don't want to hear any crappy etiquette discussions.

Saturday I went to my first spot made 2 casts and hook up on the second cast. Go to turn the boat with the trolling motor to line up for another cast and find out that my trolling batteries are dead due to the onboard charger burning out without me knowing about it. It wasn't a tournament but very well could have been since I have one next weekend but now my practice time is shot.

Yes, however you should really learn, that biting the steering wheel and holding you hands up in the air, is not the best way to keep control of your vehicle.

My second tournament fishing in my Huck Fin boat I had 18lbs thought I would get a check at least. Loading my boat I was nervous and a little embarrassed and my nemesis (guy with a loaded Ranger) who always gives me a hard time about my boat, was there laughing at my boat. I was trying to hurry and I slipped into the water. blush I got 2nd but I would have rather zeroed than get 2nd and fall into the water. Worst tournament ever….took me a month to get the courage to go back out and compete.

CB1007 why worry what they think? IT seems your rig did as good and better than theirs and your not out $50,000+. I'd jump in the water adn LOL all the way to the bank if I where you.

I fish some turny's on fork out of a 2003 tracker pro-v 16.5 with a 40 hp. On a good day I get to go 27mph and get buzzed by skeeters, rangers, basscats, tritons, ect all the time... it did feel really good to pass a boat though.. it was a pontoon. lol.
