Well got the bad news today the cost of hitting a stump at Lake Fork at the CAT Tournament this pass summer. Well it all started when I noticed that my bilge pump keep coming on just a little to often. So this pass Saturday I just slow down and got all the gear out and fill the boat with water and there it was three cracks one about 2 inches and two about 1 inch and I could see the spot that the stump had hit the bottom of the boat. Well the cost to fix the damage $2,500.00 thank goodness for insurance.

geez thats abt 600 dollars an inch, whats your boat made out of?
COMING SOON! .. THE STICKLE HOOK " the stay level sickle hook". sits level in the water with all knots.! Provides better hook sets and more natural jigging motion. No more adjusting the knot, gluing , or tying loop knots that cause the hook point to tangle in the loop, or worse knick the line.. The jighook that will make all others obsolete !

Mine had some chips and cracks in it from takeing a beating against a concrete wall on cedar creek last year during a storm. Cost me about $28 for some fiberglass putty. Check at your local marine dealer next time, you could have bought a boat for $2500.
But anyways, sorry it happened, really sorry it cost so muc. Thank god for insurance and that you are back out on the water

Well my boat is made of aluminum. Tracker Marine made it 170 Pro Hawk Fisher. The welding is not the hard part first you got to take the deck out with the consel and all the steering along with the wireing. Next you got to get the foam out of the bottom because it will catch on fire when you welded it. After this is all done then you can weld inside and out grind the weld and paint. Then you got to put it all back together.WOW! It will take about a week to do the work not to bad I guess.

Boats are holes in the water where you throw money!
"Life is a matter of luck and the odds of success are in no way enhanced by extreme caution." - Erich Topp, German U-boat Commander, 1943.
When in doubt, set the hook.

Use marine JB Weld and pocket $2493.00. Right on! I have a 1973 DemCraft bass boat that I bought new and have been able to keep in good condition by doing everything myself. Learn to repair those little items and boats do not have to be money pits.
