I have mixed emotions today but I was able to reduce my monthly payment by 150, pay off a 3,000$ credit card, and get 15 more miles to the gallon. Not to mention cheaper insurance. My question is the 2009 vibe does not have power door locks or windows and NO CRUISE! The locks and windows are one thing but I need CRUISE, does anyone know anything about installing aftermarket cruise control?

PS sold my 08 Tacoma for 2,000 more than what I payed for it 18 months ago.

pretty sure there isnt one, being most cars now are all electronic throttle bodies, and dont have throttle cables. you would have to find a 09 vibe with cruse and get the harness and relays and switches and install them on yours. doesn't sound like a easy install to me.

Wait for a few months and see how much you going to loose on the VIBE.

If it has the 1.8L it's a Toyota engine so you could probably also get it from a Corolla. In my opinion it's to much work just to have cruise control.

Talked to the guy that has done my trailer work in the past, $450 plus tax. I think I'll just make do or buy the parts and have a friend do it. No complaints on the Vibe. It is a toyota engine and transmission. It should be fine. Can still tow the boat with my wifes rav4.

I hope you are not towing too much baot with that Rav 4. Prices for used Tacomas are border line ridiculous right now.

The boat I tow is a 1940 aerocraft that I could drag up the ramp on a trailer if I had too. I used to pull it with a 5 speed corolla. First gas tank in the vibe lasted 9 days and only cost $37.

Prices on the trucks is insane but I paid 18,200 for mine with 30,000 miles (2008 TRD SPORT 2WD). When I sold it with 46,000 miles for 19,900 just in time. (needed 4 tires and a brake job). There are some great deals to be had but craigslist is really hurting the dealers. What a shame.

Brakes and tires at 46,000. How do you drive that thing? My stock tires would have made 60 easily if I had crisscossed every once in a while. I put a lot of wear on the right side rear on my deer lease.

Honestly I don't think the rotations were done....the tires could have got another 5,000 miles but you could really tell when the road was wet.

Prices on new ones are also rediculous. In 2006 thats what i thought i wanted, a mid size truck that i thought would be cheaper than a full size. Wow was i wrong. The tacoma i wanted was $26k. I got a Supercrew F150 XLT for $28k. More room, more power, more truck, about the same price.
