Understanding the zoom rate on GPS. And, understanding the distance across your sonar screen at idle. How to use the cursor and zoom to drive back to your waypoints.Understanding what you are actually looking at on your sonar screen. Where is the seminar? Good stuff JR.

You can start by giving out your best falcon, amistad, and ivie waypoints. Everyone will love it. Maybe I could work something out! I'll bet those spots would be very expensive!
Retirement best job ever.

i think we all know in general what to look for on a map when planning a deep water excursion, what do you look for on those spots? how do you eliminate water on a large piece of structure without side imaging? i know getting a line wet will tell you but is there a way to "guesstimate" where before hooking up the boat?

JR, I would like to see an application that allows the angler to enter the water level and the map shows the current outline of the lake in blue based on the contour lines. This would make the maps much easier to navigate and relate to the current conditions.

TBT i think there is something like that already- i believe it was on a post on here somewhere- there is a chip- not navionics- but another one and i watched the video about it and you could enter that the lake was 5ft low and it would adjust the contour lines.. is this what you are talking about? maybe someone on here remebers this too and can find the link....

This would make the maps much easier to navigate and relate to the current conditions. HB has that feature. I use it all the time as the water levels in Central Texas are always dropping.

the 998 and 1198 for sure maybe some of the newer smaller models as well. it's called shaded depth and you can set it to equal the lakes current level. It's under the menu options.
