I have a friend that just got stationed on a military base in Whichita Falls. He has been in Hawaii for the past 4 years or so (lucky man). He has a boat and just started fishing this lake and doesnt know alot about it. Another friend of mine and me are taking my boat up to Arrowhead lake to camp in mid November to camp with my military friend at Arrowhead lake and fish the weekend.
We arent fishing for anything in particular really because i guess alot of it depends on how cool the water is up there by that time. We are going to try and do some LMB fishing but are going to try to do some catfishing if the bass arent biting.
Anybody on here familiar with that lake that might be able to help as far as what areas of the lake are the best for fishing? What lures work out there for bass? Any structure to key in on if any?

I'm from Wichita Falls and have fished Arrowhead since I was little. Not sure where you will be camping at. You can pay to stay in the state park or there are a few spots you can camp around the lake as well for no fee. With any lake I would stick to watching your depth finder for structure... fishing points... etc. Near the damn on Arrowhead are old oil derricks. These have been brushed out year after year. You can get into good crappie and catfish around them. If you can find the dam you can't miss them. I've attached a pic to help get you started. The area's marked in yellow I have done well at. I've also marked a place you can camp if you wish. Anyways good luck. If you have any other questions PM me. Jerm

Jerm thanks man, yeah he did mention something to me about someone telling him that fishing the derricks was good for crappie. We will be staying in the state park area, is it close to the dam?

Why is the state park is labeled as yacht club on this map? You are correct sir. I marked the wrong spot.

Its not far. As PEZZ pointed out the place I have marked yacht club is actually the state park. Not sure how I messed up but I did. There is a cove we used to fish where a yacht club was located. Not sure if its in the water any more since the lake is pretty low. I'll correct the map and re-post when I get a chance.
