This is Duke, one of Bleu and Jezzabelle's puppys from thier first litter.
Duke's family have decided that Duke is too much dog for thier family, which includes a 4 year old girl.
Duke is current on his shots, but needs his monthly heartwormer that I can't afford to get for him. He's healthy and very much still a puppy, which is probably the biggest reason his family made the decision that all would benefit with him being in a new home. They also never registered him with AKC but I have all his paperwork.
This family lives close to me and really want what is best for Duke, so they contacted me wanting to know if I could help place him, and are not asking for any rehoming fee. Since they are so close to me, I brought duke home last night to see how he would interact with Bleu And Jezzabelle. After a few minutes sniffing, and Jezzabelle letting him know that SHE is the boss in our house, he and Bleu ran and played like there was no tomorrow.
Duke understands some hand commands, is housebroken, has been kenneled/crated since his family took him home, and probably has spent too much time in a kennel/crate.
Duke and Bleu spent from 5:00 this morning to 11:00 this morning outside, then I brought them in, put Duke in his kennel/crate and ran some errands. I came home, gave them a couple of more hours outside then let them all come inside. Duke slept a while, then let me know he wanted to go outside where he immediately pee'd.
Duke looks like an EXACT REPLICA of Bleu when he was that age, and almost identical to Bleu in his mannerisms. He is going to be an incredible, beautiful Bloodhound for someone. Intrested parties should PM me. I ask that you give me some information about the home you would provide for Duke.Duke will need a XXLARGE Kennel/crate! His family had borrowed one and never bought there own so I'm having to use mine, which I will be keeping.

Thanks!

Bleu one the left and Duke on the right.

Does he chew things up? How is he with kids? I have a 3 year old lab that likes to sleep ALL the time, so I think having another running buddy around might get his blood flowing more. How is he on and off a leash? My lab does not know what a leash is, where ever I go he he right on my heals. Not sure if Duke has the same mentality or not. Very interested party.
