What's the best lube (oil and grease) for both spinning and bait casting reals?
Thanks

Not a thing wrong with the Zebco oil and grease that WalMart sells. The X1R reel pack has both oil and grease in it and I like it a little better. I've seen it at WalMart and Academy too.

if you own guns and clean them yourself you can use that for reel lube. i use rem oil w/ teflon on my guns and that's what i use on my reels. ------------------

Ooh, Ooh! I tried the Quantum Hot Sauce (both the grease and the oil) on a recommendation from one of the reel counter guys at BPS. STUFF WORKS GREAT!!!! Doesn't get thick or still in the cold, bonds with the metal parts and is a neat red color so you can see how much and where you put it.
I used to do real repairs when I was laid off and I gotta tell ya, this stuff is good.

We use quantum hot sauce if anglers request it, otherwise, we use Rocket Fuel. All of these yrs. in business(let's see, about 11) Never had any complaints with the RF. Most importantly with bearings,IMHO, is the maintainence. keeping them clean and apply ONE drop of oil per bearing... sometimes anglers think a little does good, alot will do better. Not so.conniek
