I just acquired a Quantum DS300CX baitcast rell to give to my son fot his first baitcast reel. Before giving it to him I was going to oil the bearings but cant figure out how to remove the left side plate to get to them. No screws visible on that sidse only the Magnetic cast control dial. Any help woul be greatly appreciated.
Thanks

there is a small little button that you need to push in, and turn the cover and it will pop off. If its the same style as my Quantum...

Thanks for the reply, that was the tip I needed. I had noticed that little button before your post, but when I had pushed it nothing happened, but I wasnt turning the side plate itself.

NEVER take the cover off...until the dial is turned to the FREE position...or it could "catch" on the "brake" wheel and warp it! Please be careful!
