found a Penn Power Stick rod in the corner of my wood shop,covered with sawdust and crud. It appears to be brand new in the fact that it doesn't look like it has ever been used,I don't recall how long its been there.

Heres the spec.......... Graphite Rod,PSG 4871, A7' medium action, 12 to 17# line,3/8 oz to 3/4oz lures

Anyone have any idea what it might be worth and what its quality might be??

I might use it for specs,it feels good to the hand,,,,whatcha think??

IF it's a spinning type rod, I saw one for sale for $35. Graphite, foam type handle?

Older model not listed in Penn's catalog.

Probably good for Specs. . .keep it and call a friend to go fishing with you! Offer to buy his gas if he comes all that way!

hey dood,hows retirement,,,,,,,,,,I'm still fighting those aches and pains,feeling rough this morning.

I did manage to wet a line last tuesday,2 reds and lost a 3rd,lots of junk fish but fun,,,,,

we were helping my BIL board up his place, we dodged a MF'er on this one, I had motel reservations in Sequin but decided to stay after it turned,I couldn't have got out of town anyway. I'll beat the crowd on the next one with an impromptu vacation

Startin' to get a little bored!

We went to Galveston Bay last tuesday and only had 2 drum (which we saved for my bud's neighbor) and 1 small hammerhead (about 3').
Had something jerk my rod out of my hands and it sank in 30' of water. (Curado and $160 rod!) I rigged up a couple treble hooks and started draggin. Believe it or not, I got it back in only 6 tries! Clean living!

I have fished in worse weather than we got out of this one, but you never know. I could have been real bad. It's better to err on the side of caution.

Keep in touch, we'll wet a line one of these days.

I think I left that rod there, where's Rosenberg, I'll come and get it.

For what you would spend on gas, you could buy 2-3 rods! Besides I know DL and it might be a piece of junk! LOL!!!!!
