I just got a new rod and reel...while practicing the "Roll Cast," I started to notice that my line was being chewed up by the line guide at the end of the rod. What is the best method of fixing this problem? File down the irregularities in the guide?
Thanks in advance!

If this is a new rod, you should'nt have that problem. Unless you are using braided line. The braided line will eat into some of the guides, depending on what type they are. Some are not made for braid. Now if you are not using braid, I would load it up and take it back where I got it from.

One BigFish: Kit is Correct. Take it back with a cotton swab/Q-tip and show the returns counter attendant the eye is cracked. _Just drag the swab thru the eye, the cotton strands will snag in the crack. Viola New Rod! >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>Bazztex<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<
