I have been using Pinnacle rods for several years now, and have experienced no problems whatsoever. In addition, I have been using both Pinnacle spinning and baitcasting reels with no problems.

I sell alot of Pinnacle rods in my shop and I have used them for over 6 years and never had a problem. The Matrix, SPX, and the Tri-Wing classic are all good rods, sensitive and light weight. I have gone as far as having some of the Tri-Wing Classics customized for personal use.

I have a Pinnacle SPX setting here in two pieces due to it snapping in half on a hook-set. It was the second day I used it and I was very dissapointed. Before that I loved the action and the feel, not to mention it was a great looking rod. My situation is probably more the exception than the rule.

Raven...who makes Pinnacle? I've heard and been asked and just don't know. Is it it's own company or just a product that is made by some big holding company? Thanks.

Silstar owns Pinnacle and some other brands and is the actual manufacturer. Their main operation is in South Carolina. They make alot of private label brands for other companies like Cabela's, BPS, Castaway, All-Star and some others.
