Academy and Wal Mart both carry Corrosion X. The large green can is for heavy duty use and the small red can is what you want.

Really, both stores closest to me (NE Dallas) dont carry them. I asked and I can tell that the person never heard of it. I'll try other location.

I had 4 of these and took them all back. Just didn't like them at all. 2 went back because the finish started coming off of them and the other 2 I just didn't like them compared to my other reels. For $38 though it's not a bad reel.

bw - your post doesn't make sense to me? So there was nothing wrong with the reel, just didn't feel like you others? What were you comparing them too? And the finish came off? It's 38 bucks!

These are terrific reels. I also have four, fish them all. I have total confidence in them. Others disagree, but I have to agree with Grnhead. I have switched to these reels almost exclusively (I have 2 Quantums I need to weed out). I also use their spinning reels. Now if I can just find a ROD to standerize on....

The finish on the top started flaking off. Like BassSat said, the bearings start making some weird noise and they don't reel smooth at all after that. I have Curado's and a Citica on all my other rods and for the money they're hard to beat. You get what you pay for!!! When I have something mess up on me it either goes in the water if I'm mad enough or I take it back. I'm not the type to start fixing stuff all the time. If it doesn't work or I don't have confidence in it I don't want it!!!

i'm not a fan of pinnicle, i'd try to get a cheap fluger, but the ambassadeur line of reels are good to.
