I have a spot I have fished all summer on the Sabine and have never caught a sandbass. When I went there yesterday, I caught several. My question is - do sandbass make a 2nd run up the rivers when it gets cooler or was this just a coincidence?

Sure, they will Chase shad anywhere. I'm sure some move up early. I'm not a specialist but I am sure they move up when it frys cold. I have caught then in Nov and Dec in the creeks. Just not huge amounts.
