I have had the same thing happen to me when I fished alot of ponds as a kid and what I would get them on is a floating spider with dangling legs I never found any flies that looked like dragon flies if you dont have a fly rod just put a cork on the line a few feet above the fly and it will allow you to throw it on any reel you are using then just move it along through the water but in my experience when they are that hungry they will hammer it as soon as it lands and sits on the water I tried many other flies but the spider was the only one they would really attack I know your frustration because i would try all of the aits mentioned above with the trick worms flukes senkos all topwaters and never could get bit until i put the spider on

That was easy Next question I've seen that does it really work?? I have no idea. These are marketed or otherwise produced by a tackle company that is owned I think by Chuck Woolery. He is the love connection guy. I have seen the late nite infomercial on them several years ago and it stayed with me I guess.

Try a mepps inline spinner bait just under the surface match colors as close as you can. This has always worked for me in ponds when bass are eating dragon flies.
Who ever said nothing in life is impossible. Never tried slamming a revolving door.
