Recently aquired a boat and am anxious to fish the Anahuac area since it's close to where I live. Can anyone help me with where to go?

Power plant discharge, rig shell pads, Jacks pocket, and Anahuac pocket are good places to start.

I'd like to put in at Ft Anahuac Park for convenice purposes only. I'm concerned the channels have been filled in during Ike. Is this true?

You can run out the channel on the river side. They have dregged it. I have seen guys run out the other side, but im not sure how deap it is. Just be carfull and stay in the channel past the last green light/marker. its about 200' past the last visible island. The areas on both sides of the channel are shallow. Just take it slow and you should be fine.

A guy tried to tell me where to fish off the bank in Anahuac. I tried but could not find anywhere and ended up at Rollover. Where do people fish in Anahuac?
