I spoke with Shakespheare Friday. They told me they were not taking on any new service centers. I challenged him that there had to be folks in the cities around the Metro area that need service. South and west of Fort Worth is growing fast, and for service it's Dallas, or Houston well that's to far! If you will call Shakespheare and let them you won't, need service and they will come. I am located on the southwest side of Fort Worth a great location for everyone help if you can. Thanks Fisher Mike Good fishing flag

It was already brought up that Southwest can not get parts. I asked them last year about working on mine and that is what Southwest told me at the time.

that's the problem with some reels.sometimes we run accross a good deal, but then when the reel needs serviceing/repair,that good deal turns sour and not so good afterall.. no help around. A little tip here is to always ask before buying where you might get reel repaired or serviced.
You might think about opening your own reel repair shop, i can sure help you.conniek

You might do a search for Cmtbasser and see if his e-mail is in his profile....he was on their prostaff last year if I remember right...drop him a line and he might be able to get ya going in the right direction...I have five Pfleugers in my arsenal of reels and have yet to have any problems from them and they all are five years are older...I also have five Curados and five BPS extremes...BPS has replaced a couple of the Extremes but other than that the only reels that I have ever had to send to the shop were my Garcias.....go figure.....

I had 2 Trion's that didn't act right. Sent them to Pflueger and they sent me 2 brand new ones. My President reels are every bit as nice as my Shimano's and just as easy to take apart and put back together.
