I have been thinking about getting one of these rods but havent yet. I like the cork tape gripped rods and think they would allow u to get quite a bit of distance! I was thinking of matching it with a big quantum Cabo. What do u think? http://cabelas.com/cabelas/en/templates/...&hasJS=true

Hey Lucky
First off ,, what kind of reel do you use eegbeater(spinning) or conven.( I like conven's because of the more line cap). you can get both rods at academy you can get a 10 to 15 footers(I use ugly sticks, I have mine rigs with a jigmaster, long beach 60 and my fav,, long beach 68, it helps if you mag the reels ( stop the bird nest thing)and pratice with them,, in a short time you can learn to cast your arm off.. I've been casting these rigs for about 10 years,
good luck
