So I've got this wild GIANT condo idea drawn up that I have been draming about for a year now. Now I know a condo of such mass will be completely obvious to anyone with a depth finder, but the lake I'm sinking it in is a very low traffic lake, (rockhopper keep your lips sealed) so I'm not that worried about poachers. My real question is... Am I benifitting any by making a monster creation such as this???? I have a unlimited supply of scrap PVC so material is no big deal. I'm just looking for some advice from the "condo guru's" on if size matters?!? Don't take that the wrong direction fellers! If I'm not going to benefit any more than I would from say a 8x8x4 feet tall condo, then I'm not going to waste my time! Any advice is appreciated guys! Thanks corey

I think several smaller ones. Imagine catching a Crappie in the middle of that big one. Too easy to get wrapped up I think.

Four or five ft tall is plenty. 10X10X5 would be a good size. If you want to put these in 20ft of water, then adding some height is good. But I tend to put piles in 14ft or less.

"Poachers"? I'm sure you meant that tongue in cheek. I like your ambition but I think multiple smaller ones would be better. Or multiple BIG ones so the rest of us don't have hunt so hard for one! I'm just getting into this fishing thing, just bought a boat, and from the posts I've read over the last year it looks like there won't be any lake bottom available for condos, brush piles, etc, if I decided to set one up. Why am I always late in the real estate game...

I'd fish it if I found it.

the bare metal will grow algae but I think to attract small baitfish it needs places for them to hide like a tree or 2 inside of it or some artificial leaves all over it. you can buy the leaves at academy or bps in the hunting area. I have fished the grapevine rock crusher many times with not much luck. this reminds me of a small version of it.

Thanks for the input guys! The pic I posted is just a goole image of a childrens jungle gym. I was just using it as a reference to what I am wanting to build. It will be constructed completely out of PVC so It will last. I don't mind "brushing it in with things but I'm trying to keep it as snag-proof ad possible. I'm the model that I build I plan on putting alot of cris-cross pieces horizontally to make it more brushy looking rather than just the big square. I also plan on sanding all of it to help algea cling better. BigMack- you are a very observant reader! I had a feeling someone would catch on to that hint, But..... BP isn't the lake it's going in! I was just messin with Hopper because he knows my little hometown lake that its going in and he wanted Coords.

skip the brush, keep it weedless. It will work as shown, maybe too tall. Add a few pots for added cover and it will work.

Need a barge to get it where you want it. It would be tough to get a big fish out of it with all the criss cross structure but fish would definitely get in it.
