The JBweld in conjunction with a 1/4-20 sheet metal screw works well for replacing missing rivets.

That spray on rubber sealant I keep seeing commercials for works, believe it or not. I've also used waterproof bathroom sealant when I drilled holes to attach my transducer to and its held for a few years now.
I don't know if either of these is a good idea. But its worked so far. Haha. Actually, THIS. It won't seal up a gash or 5inch hole, but it works great on small stuff and holes. Used it on a Jon boat we rehabbed and haven't had any problems yet.

Have a MonArk with rivets, back in my days I worked at a welding shop, and boss let me borrow a rivet tightener, it was a simple metal punch the punch end an inverted mushroom (rivet) head, my brother in law and I would put a couple inches of water inside the boat, me the punch and a hammer would crawl under the boat, inspect each rivet for wetness or drips, up in the boat he would hold down a heavy peice of steel, (2 lb 3lb hammer head) over the rivet that is flattened out. I would hammer the rivet head from below, and it would suck the rivet tight, and no more drips. No drips no leaks. Didnt trust patches,...still dont.

Cabelas has an aluminum boat repair kit. It's a stick of rubber that you heat up on the surface. I've had success with small holes.

Before you do any kind of sealing you must first drill our both ends of the crack so that it will not propigate any further.
Than put in rivets in the hole, rivet guns are cheap. After that seal with a waterproof sealer of your choice.

You've never really "lived",until,you,and your Bilge Pump,haved raced the water,gushing in through your fractured thru hull,all the way to the ramp....,at Fork....,in the dark. Make sure that Bilge Pump is working!

I'd recommend "aquamend". Comes in a tube from homo depot. Just mix it with your fingers and form it into place with your fingers. You can even apply the stuff underwater. Dries fast and quick and hard and strong and lasts long and isn't brittle. I patched my aluminum boat with it and my surfboards. It is sandable/paintable if you care about looks. It will be white when dry. I still carry a tube in my boat incase I punch a hole in it. This will patch it while the boat is still in the water. One you build and fish with your own hand built custom rod you will fish with nothing else!
