I was yesterday fishing at ROLLOVER PASS from 11am to 7pm.First my fishing from 26 may 2010(medical reason).

From october last year i can't drive my car until 30 september 2011.

I see a lot of fishermans fishing at the botom with live bait on each side of the chanel,so very dificulty i find on place to fish, fishing with artificial. Fishing on the bay close with the bridge(WINNIE side) i have catching 4 sand trout an five flounder under the limit.

Because i see the people on ferry side catching flounder and red fish i move there around 4:30pm,when i see i have on small place because 2 fishermans are ready to living.

I was catching until 6:30 pm fishing with jig over 7 small flounder and one keeper, and i loose 2 nice red fish because i don't pay attention at the hook which was not sharp.

Sorry, but is not easy to fish with artificials now at ROLLOVER PASS because are many (to many!!!)fishermans fishing at the botom with live bait,so you don't have enough space to fish with artificials(i like to fish just with artificials).

If you like to fish at ROLLOVER PASS you must go early to find one good place to fish (many people are there with RV)

I have a trip planned for 11/30-12/4. Hoping to get in on some flounder action--will the run still be going on? I have been down the past 3 years in mid November and have caught some fish but was told by locals that I should wait till first of December to catch bigger and more numbers of fish. Will I be too late...? Hope not--already have plans made and accomodations lined up--please advise & thanks in advance.

Most folks have told me and that I have fished with will wait for after the 2nd cold front for better and/or best results. And preferrably with the water temps closer to 72-73 degrees. We will down there for sure after the 2nd cold front, at least!
Just my 2 cents :0) Tight lines fellas!

Well this cold front will drop the temp into the 40's in the morning for T-TH next week so that should get the flatties moving. I cant wait for the next strong cold front because by then it might be November and the limit changes to 2 fish. It aint worth the drive and money for only 2 fish. I got the itch now to catch some lol.

I was out there this weekend. I caught a ton of flounders but no keepers. I just used cut bait and finger mullets. I watched a few get on some Reds but they weren't fishing with the right gear and their lines broke every time they tried to pull one out. I can't wait until the cold front moves in.
