Theyre nice, dont get me wrong. But look at his fingers, his arms are behind the fish where you cant see how far theyre thrust out. Im in the heart of big smallmouth country, and Ive seen plenty from 4 to 7lbs. Those look like 3.5 to 5lbs. No way to tell. Theyre nice though, for sure.

We had one right at 5 pounds yesterday and Those two are bigger than 5's!!!! Both fish look to be close to his body. You can see his left elbow down by his side and his arms aren't extended to make these fish look big. Those two smallies are toads in any body of water.

One thing I have noticed is that smallmouth tend to be a tad heavier than a largemouth of the same length. They usually weigh a bit more than you think.

Just got home from smallmouth fishing on the river caught 30. The biggest one was around 4 pounds and the fish on the right is about 5 pounds and the fish on the left is a 6+pound fish.

FALCON! Smallies are fun, but I'd rather go after big green fish any day.

Down to Falcon only because i can catch all the smallies i want. For you guys down south it would be north to a place where you can catch a 5+ pound smallie. A 5 pound smallie puts a 7 pound large mouth to shame espially when you are using a sissy stick.

Those were big ones he had, I know they hit like a train and dont give up when they get to the boat. North for big smallies for sure, the cooler it gets the better. Mn this summer.

Only if Lake Murray would grow them that big!!! That would be great, but we got the river strain of smallmouth that won't grow like the lake strain do.
