Went out last friday and I have to say, this is the best offshore trip I've ever had!!! I'll definitely be back.

Perfect morning


After about 2.5 hours we finally get to drop lines in the water and IMMEDIATELY start catching shark. After about 30min we had the boats limit


Then we ran about 2 miles and got into the Vermillion Snapper pretty good


We had about 20 between me and my lady and suddenly her line starts smoking off the reel!!!




I gotta say I'm super proud of her. She's 4' 10" and a buck and some change and she fought this thing the whole way! I'm not sure how long it took but I'd say it was about 15-20min before she finally got it to the boat.

And the reason I was looking down was because right before the picture was snapped the deckhand yelled "its puking its stomach!!" this is what came out

Yup, that was her 1st time offshore fishing too. Shes never going to want to fish freshwater again

thats awesome... i never ceases to amaze me how a rookie who is just learning the ropes of saltwater fishing will catch a great fish and then they are hooked into the sport... bet she already wants to go again :0

Congradulations on the Monster King, what boat were you on, and how many hour trip was is?

Not sure what the name of the boat was but it was an 8hr trip out of deep sea headquarters

I went down there a few years ago and went out on the Pelican, we caught fish, but just averaged about 2 a piece, it seemed like we did more riding in the boat than fioshing, the next time we got a private charter and caught a bunch of fish, that was expencive but it was a blast
