Just got back from 6 days in Port A. There was a touch of Red Tide in the air (Sunday-Wednesday), still a lot of fingerer mullet in the surf. Caught several slot reds, macks, 39 inch bonnethead shark, and more lady fish than I want to say. Most caught on finger mullet, and cut lady fish. On the way home, crossing over Packery Channel noticed a lot of dead fish, looked like mostly bait fish. Talked to a couple of people, apparently Port A was lucky, but the farther south the red tide was strong. The jetty was packed yesterday when we left.

I was coughing on Friday morning on the North Jetty from the red tide. The smell was horrible driving to Corpus today.
