How hard is it to repair the guides on a rod. one of my rods got stepped on, and it destroyed one of the guides. If you can do it yourself, where do you get the stuff?

www.MudHole.com has one of the best selections of rod building supplies anywhere. If it's a single foot guide just pull the foot out from under the thread. When you get the new guide put some super glue on the guide foot and shove it back under opening in the thread wrap. Put a coat of clear fingernail polish over the guide wrap to seal it after the glue sets. If it's a double foot guide only undo one side of the thread wrap. Use a sharp blade and only cut the thread On Top of the guide foot near the eye. You Do Not cut around the rod blank..one nick in the graphite fiber can cause a rod to fracture. Once the thread is cut it will spiral off the rod as you pull... no problem. Then carefully pull the guide foot out of the remaining thread wrap. That way you only have to rewrap one side. This will also assure that you have the new guide on straight inline with the other guides. Good Luck Yall! Bazz
