Just got these pictures via text from local guide Stan Gerzsenyi of Amistad Bass. It's been a good day fishing for him and his client. Man I need to get out there!

Those fish look really skinny to be heading into winter.Nice fish ;but they sure don't look like Amistad "footballs"

The one in the guys left hand is skinny too.It may be plastic in their bellies.Sometimes when they are feeding on Ghost Minnows they don't put on much weight.I haven't been on the lake in a long time:so I really am not in a position to express an opinion.

These were all caught on a Jerry Rago swimbait, so I would have to agree that they are starting to feed for winter. Which means I need to get out and go fishing!

If you look at the top picture near the bottom left you can even see the swimbait...
