Carolina rig- had a 9 pounder on it out there a few weeks ago. Also I would flip your favorite jig.

fished last Saturday. Found a big girl floating. Cloudy eye, blisters and deteriorating. Wanted to see what she weighed so I picked her up. Surprisingly loose jaw. Held her up for my partner to see and her eye moved under the cloudy lens. She was still alive. The side that was under water was perfect. She weighed 9 lbs 14 ounces. Wasn't anything I could do for her. Took pic and let her go. Damn shame. Had 5 fish for 15.98 with a 6.04 kicker. Steep banks with timber. Watermelon candy baby brush hog on a spot remover.

Still plenty of submerged timber, all over, was just out there earlier today, all these tips are spot on...I would only add mixing in a squarebill and a chatterbait some..

I put in early this morning at Lacy and tried the creek and my usual places. I saw almost NO activity until I paddled out to the main lake. Caught a few dinks and a nice 5lber finally. 6 miles of paddling though lol. thanks for advice, I'll definitely have to get a squarebill.
