All,
This weekend my wife took me for my birthday to Bass Pro to spend a gift certificate she gave me. It was my first trip in a while, and I was going with the plans to purchase the Wally Marshall Pro Series Crappie Rod (10').

Well, they were out of the Pro rod, but I did get the Universal rod (10') and Wally's new baitcaster. Now that I have bought them, does anyone have any comments on either of these items.

Also, I did want to mention that I had never met Wally before in my life. He was at his own booth, and I can say I have not met a nicer person. I know he was selling his stuff, but I appreciate people who appreciate their customers. It was so late in the afternoon, and he had probably been whipped by every fisherman in the place already. He spent about 5 minutes talking to me about his products and gave suggestions on using the new rod around cover. He even had someone get my new reel spooled with some hi-vis before I left for free. My wife was even impressed he was so friendly. I will certainly be buying more Wally products in the future because of this gentleman.

Robert

Yes, Wally is a very nice guy and always has time to invest in his fans and customers. I have seen him several times and every time after our 1st meeting he always remembers me. I have purchased several of his rods and reels and combos, jig collections, line, etc. I have the pro series combo, 10' rod with foam handle, new baitcasting reel and the lesser model of spinning reel. I like them all, however, I wanted the 12' rod when I purchased the 10' and he was out, that was at the recent Boat Show. After using it one time I really need the 12', I am going to post it for sale in the Trade/Sell section along with the baitcasting reel.
