Jimmyjoe, I build one of the best 7 1/2 foot flippin rods in the United States. And the price is even better. I can build it spiral wrapped or Conventional. Which ever way you want it. Most of the guys love the spiral but there are a few who like the conventional. You flippin jigs? or what? Let me know.

Jimmyjoe, You might look at the New 7'3" XH power, fast action Legend Tournament series ST.CROIX Rod made for jigs. You can go to www.stcroixrods.com for more choices. Good luck! Dink-Catcher

Texas Sidewinder, I appreciate the offer but I will be using my Rewards Points from BassPro Shops to purchase a rod. I am looking for something under $100. Dink-Catcher, those St. Croix rods look good and BassPro Shops sells them. I will keep that in mind.

No problem Jimmy. But you know I have to at least make an effort.

Jimmyjoe, You can look at the 7'6" Heavy with fast action Premier series that telescopes for $120.00 or the 7' Heavy with fast action for $105.00. That 7' rod will do the job just as well. Probably would have a little more backbone too.

P.S. Met Texas Sidewinder at Mesquite Show and he does build nice rods.

OK, I want to thank everyone for their help. This is the rod that I got. It is the 7' 6" Heavy Action PRQ76HT-T. It was delivered yesterday.

I think you'll be happy with your purchase. Make sure you keep your receipt and if anything happens, BP should honor replace the rod for you.

Warren,
A flippin' rod is generally one that is long and very stout. That way you can pull them bad boys out of the stuff easier. After reading your last post on buying your first baitcaster-don't buy one yet. Get a 6'6" medhvy BPS tourney special and an ambassador 4500c3 and your set. You can do just about anything with that kind of set up and it costs less than 100 dollars.
