I hope version 2.0 lives on as the original group intended. As someone who was a part of the early DFW rough fish explosion, it always saddened me to see those who chose not to share where they were catching carp/buffalo. Once the blacked out backgrounds in pictures starting showing up, I knew things would never be the same around here. yah... I know all to well the few *** fishers who took things too personal and made it their agenda to attempt to ruin things, but only by sharing and exploiting the many fishing opportunities these wonderful fish give us, can we truly grow and sustain the interest in these fish. Keep publicly sharing the info and groups like the LSCB will keep on growing.
Recent Notables: 40lb Flathead, 30lb Carp, 25lb Buffalo.

BankAFish, I agree that sharing venues with people you trust is a good idea, but I think we all know of places which, after publicising, became bereft of quality fishing due to meateaters and BFers that came in after the publication.

Keep publicly sharing the info and groups like the LSCB will keep on growing. yeah, when i first Joined the forum, 90% of every photo and location was a mystery. It took a little bit of fishing with the guys and understanding to learn of some of the locations. I still don't know of all them. All you have to do is ask. It is just a caution to protect a beloved fish we would hate to see taken by a BF and not given the respect as all other fish get. If not for "US" as carp fishermen, the carp wouldn't have a chance, its up to us as a group to protect and preserve the fish we so dearly love to catch!
I thank God for each day!

Why dont y'all do a LSCB fish-in soon? i think that is part of the problem, lack of volunteers. Nobody has done anything since Tracy's tournament. Everyone wants to carry the name on but nobody is stepping up to keep it going.
Bowfishing sucks

i agree and disagree Scott. Yeah, the fish ins are great and there have been several. Just because they are not dubbed LSCB fish ins doesn't mean the spirit isnt there. That's what its all about, the spirit of LSCB. As long as we are fishing with that in mind, be it 20 people fishing togher or 2 people fishing together, the spirit is alive and well. There is no certain number or qualifying event that makes LSCB what it is at this point. My .02
I thank God for each day!

Then the LSCB had a fish in a few weeks ago with quite a few people out fishing and there was an EMMA fish in last year at this time that scott put on that filld the park.So I dont think its dead at all.The fishing season is just ramping up now that its cooling off.
