I have been fishing pretty much my whole life, but never really used a baitcasting combo very much. Does anyone have any suggestions on a good rod/reel combo that I could learn on? Backlashes are no fun so I would like something that is easy to handle until I get more comfortable with it. Any suggestions would be great.

thanks,

Spw

If you have no budget I would get a curado combo. If there is a budget I would get a Garcia 4600 C4. Either one of these will do you pretty good. Put you some 12 pound test on it and about a 1/2 ounce weight and get in the back yard and practice, practice and practice some more. Do not get discouraged with backlashes, everyone gets them. You just get good at diggin them out as time goes on. laugh laugh laugh laugh
