I was thinking about making a trip out to Brownwood for the first time and was hoping you guys could give me some insight on the lake. What ramps are open, is the lake safe to run/any hazards, how's the fishing been lately? Any info would be appreciated!

I can't tell you about the fishing, JOE DOGG can handle that. The ramp at the dam and the state park are open and accessable. We are currently 16' low. Most of the hazzards are marked, just use caution and some common sense. Pay attention when closer than 150' from the shore line and keep that same distance around the buoys. Hope that helps.

The ramps are OPEN. It would take a bunch more water in order to shut the ramps down. We came up about .6 of a foot, but all the creeks and rivers are flowing so we should come up a little more. There will be some floaters (logs and debris), we hope to get on the water tommorow and check the intakes.
