They have an arrangement with the hatchery to hold fish there until conditions are right on the river.

Toomuch- You may be disappointed in the TTZ this year. The average fish size is supposed to be smaller this season. TPWD surveys found that fish in the 15-17 range do just as well, if not better, than the pigs from the past couple of years. Less people keeping plus more fish leads to a better holdover population.
