On Caddo, try the large stumpfield south of Onion Island. Black/chart, solid white, or monkey milk about a foot off the bottom. Lift up about a foot, let it fall and watch your line. Me and a friend of mine have done well there this summer. Oh, and be VERY careful navigating the stumpfield.

Part of the trouble that we are having on Caddo is lack of places to launch boats. Tuckers is just about dry Crip's is about the same way I was told. Johnson's Ranch or the 43 bridge or state park might be the only places left on the Texas side to launch.

TdTony Am Sorry i can't tell you about Potters. We are all about 7 1/2 foot down here at this point. At our families fish camp we are high and dry. That's at Pine Island Pond. Just a big mess until we get some rain and we can get some water back into Caddo. Will try to find out and repost to this thread for you.

May have to have weekly up dates of all the launches on Caddo. I know most but not all. Anyone having a question on a particular launch please post and I will try to find out and up date.

Hey Redman, we're going to be at Caddo on the 17th. We're staying at the Island Inn on Cypress Village Rd. Was planning on putting in at the SP and wondering if I will have any trouble motoring to where we're staying. Appreciate any info you could give me.

I'm at Caddo NOW; camped at state park last two days; ramp is good for launching. I am now in a rented cabin just down from Johnsons and stopped by there today; ramp is good for launch; the management has put in a bunch of cement bags to fortify the ramp; if you stay in the middle of the ramp you will be ok. Haven't fished yet (girls/wife with me so doing their thing) but Billy Carter has said the crappie are good in the river along the pads, bass are also good along the pads. I'm going down to my secret spot tomorrow for the yellows, will post how I do.

Beer Dawg You should not any trouble at all just go slow as to not hit any stumps or fall downs. The corners of the bends will be where you need to keep you eyes open.

Buzzard Breath I got bad info as I was told that Johnson's was closed to launching. Thats why I didn't post that info. Neighbor said that the State park just dredged there channel so they will be ok. As is 43 bridge. We need rain here on Caddo bad.

Pines is down 3 1/2 -4 ft,Only ramps useable I know of is Overlook at the Damm and Johnson creek (may be more I just know these) . I ave not fished in 5 weeks just to much trouble to put in and make a 3-5 mile trip to fish.
If we get rain they maybe the would let more water out to go to Caddo .

Smile while you still have teeth.
