I was down there last week, I wasn't fishing a solid pattern, actually I was trying out some lake fork magic shad 5.5 inch swimbaits. The color I was using watermelon pearl, fishing shallow in abot 4 foot of water on grass lines, chucnking it up on shore and dragging it over the grass and burning it once it dropped off the grass line. I did really well with that in the morning, up till around 11:00 am
I switched to watermelon crankbaits fishing points in 7-12 foot, only caught one that way. Went over near the dam and C-rig 5 inch, hyperworm in motor oil color. Caught a few that way till 3pm. Took a nap in the boat till around 6pm.
Messed around with a new bait called trigger fish, it's a top water and boy is it allot of fun to fish! Had about 5 blow ups on it. Called it a day at sun down.
I don't fish choke all the time, but right now is a perfect time to fish it in my experience. I'll be down there this Sunday. I have a gree flat bottom aluminium boat and I'm a big guy. Feel free to swing by and say hi if you see me out there.

Thank you much for the advice. I always have trouble finding the grass down there. Are there certain areas of the lake that are better to go for to find the grass??? Thanks again for the help.

Ended up catching 18.5 lbs. Big fish was 6.75. That took first place for big fish and total weight. Second had 17.25. Good time on the lake. It got a little rough mid day.

Nice Job, it's a perfect time to be fishing just about any where right now. What did you catch them on? We were using super flukes in the grass and spinnerbaits, then we switched over to crankbaits and Carolina rigged worms off points. Most luck I had with colors was with white, green/white (for flukes, spinners and cranks) and cotton candy worms. My duaghter lost a nice fish right at the boat, she damn near stomped a hole through the floor! Great day.
