My first time out here and the wind was horrible! Seemed like I could never get out of it. Planned on being here until Saturday but looks like wind isn't dying down any time soon.
Appreciate any suggestions!

Bad timing, there is a weather front coming thru. Tomorrow is gonna be bad too, but Saturday should be a calm day.

true, the wind is but not hurricane gail winds like its been blowing the last few days out here. I need a cruise ship with an extra long TM shaft and a big prop to fish out of right now in this stuff.

I remember that wind there back in April. That turn around goat island heading from the Hubbard arm back to the bridge was not much fun!
Sorry your trip was ruined. It's a great place to fish.

If the wind is above 25mph then its probably to high for most boaters, but if its less then learn to fish in the wind, the windy shore usually is better fishing. If the boat is yours in your signature, she'll handle it. Just need big trolling motor.

It was definately windy on OH Ivie yesterday. I know it was gusting way over 30 mph. When you are fishing with a 3/4 OZ jig and the wind is still blowing it sideways to about 45 dg then it is probably too windy to fish the main lake.

Appreciate any suggestions! I tried to catch you before you left,,,it's a friggen dust storm out here. Airport says 24 with gusts to 32mph..
