I am curious to know what opinions you all have of particular fishing rods. I just got done breaking a Berkley rod that I bought from Walmart for 50 bucks. gunna take it back, its just a pain in the rear. I was fishing in the sticks and just barely nicked a tree and broke the end off. I like medium to medium heavy rods, depending on what I am fishing. Ya'll let me know.

I use nothing but falcon rods and i have no complaints at all about the rods, before that i was using all-star rods which are also good rods. My wife is an all-star rod user and don't like much else so you can't go wrong with either one of these rods. As far a falcon's go if you hit academy at the right time you can find the originals for a decent price, i prefer the lowriders but they are all good if you ask me.

The best rods around are the ones in my rod box! But you can't have em! Oh yea All Star!

GLoomis IMX. Can get them *fairly* reasonable off ebay and that lifetime replacement thing is *very* nice when you manage to break one in a car door or even while fishing. I've been there twice now and can say GL is for real.

I too like the American Rodsmith line up. Most rods use a Shikari blank which is one of the top blank builders in the US. Priced very reasonable and are a tad lighter than Falcons at a cheaper price. Check them out at www.americanrodsmiths.com Good luck fishing! Phil

i started using tournament choice im6 rods baught through academy. they are excptional for the fact is that the blanks are made by castaway. the cost is 29.00-39.00. i found them to campare with allstar, falcon.
go pick up one and fish them a couple of times and you will see the difference
